    We're planning on going to Magic Kingdom and Hollywood Studios between August 10-15, 2012. Which days of the weekend/week are better crowd-wise?

    Cheryl,

    That is still a fairly busy time of the year at Walt Disney World, but I think that you are going to find that as school districts start classes earlier and earlier around the nation, the trend is becoming one where the later into the month you go, the lighter the crowds will be. But really you will find during that time that crowds are pretty consistent across your stay.

    But what about the weekend vs. weekday crowds? Really by then there is not much difference. What will be more important for you is to see what parks have Morning Extra Magic Hours, and avoid those parks on those days. At a busy time like that, the crowds are always bigger at the park with the morning hours, so swim against the current and visit one of the other parks. Right now, these are the parks listed to have morning Extra Magic Hours during your stay;

    • August 10 - Epcot
    • August 11 - Hollywood Studios
    • August 12 - NONE
    • August 13 - Animal Kingdom
    • August 14 - NONE
    • August 15 - Animal Kingdom
    If I had only one park per day, I would go to the Magic Kingdom on 13th, and Hollywood Studios on the 10th or 12th.

    Write me back if I can answer any follow-up questions!

    Have a magical vacation!
