    France from QC Asked

Been planning for so long our 1st WDW vacation from Dec 16-23 staying at POFQ. Looking at the weather predictions for those days and all we see are showers. Going with our boys (4 & 7) - What can we do all day if it rains? Will the parks close? Help!

Hi, France!  Rainy weather does not close down the theme parks, although it may cancel things like Fantasmic! or the parade schedules.  Things that take place outdoors that rely on good weather to take place can definitely be affected.

Fortunately, there is a great deal to do indoors.  Many of the attractions are enclosed, so if you just throw on a rain poncho, you can go from one attraction to another without being impacted too much by the rain.  Having just spent a pretty rainy weekend at the theme parks, I found we still had plenty to do, and only had to expose ourselves to the weather darting from one attraction to the next.

If you would prefer to guarantee yourselves some indoor activities, you can spend a day at Disney Quest, or take in a movie at the Pleasure Island AMC theaters.  Really, though, with ponchos and a game plan, you can still enjoy much of your time in the theme parks.

Have a great vacation!  I'm hoping to find some dry time during my vacation this same week!
