    Frances Asked

We are planning to go to WDW next May to celebrate my husband's 60th birthday a few months early, as his work schedule does not permit him to take time off during the peak tourist season. He works in the industry in MA. Are we able to do this?

Hello Frances!  Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel!  I love that your husband is going to be celebrating his 60th Birthday at Walt Disney World - I can't think of a better way to mark such an important milestone!  Don't worry Frances - Walt Disney World is more than happy to help your husband mark his special day, even if it doesn't fall into your vacation dates.  Just let them know when making your reservation that you are celebrating his Birthday so they can make a note in their reservation system. Often times, they will leave a special memento in your room, or if you let the Table Service restaurants know when you check in, sometimes they will sing, or perhaps bring a cupcake with a candle in it.

If you wanted to do an in-room surprise or order a special gift for him, you could contact Disney Floral & Gifts and they would be more than happy to plan something that would fit your wishes and budget. Also Frances, be sure to pick up a Happy Birthday celebration button for him when you check in to your Walt Disney World resort, or at Guest Services in the theme parks.  They are complimentary, and it's fun to get the extra attention from the Cast Members who like to wish guests a Happy Birthday.

Please let me know if I can help you plan or answer any other questions you have - it would be my pleasure to help you!  Have a magical day Frances!
