We were planning to go to Disney World April 19-23, which is over Easter. I've since been discouraged of going at that time. Do you suggest then and fight crowds, or end of June and fight heat?

    Hi, there!

Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel, Monica. In my opinion, any time of year is a GREAT time of year at the Walt Disney World Resort. And now more than ever is the time to visit! That said, there's certainly some things to take into consideration when planning a vacation. Let's chat about what time would be best for you!

Spring is a lovely time to visit. With warm weather and special events like the Epcot International Flower & Garden Festival, magic will be blooming all around you! The week of Easter is traditionally a very busy week, but dealing with the crowds is totally manageable! Be sure to select your FastPass+ experiences as soon as possible (60-days prior to arrival if you're staying at a Disney Resort hotel or 30-days prior to arrival if you're staying off-property). Get to the theme parks when they open first thing in the morning, and take afternoon breaks when the parks are the most crowded.

My family prefers to visit the Walt Disney World Resort in the summer because we have a school-year schedule. We're not big fans of the summer heat, but we've found plenty of ways to cope! We arrive to the theme parks early to avoid both crowds and midday sun. More spaces are air-conditioned than not, so we make sure to take advantage of those cool areas as often as possible. When it really starts to get warm, we hop on a "you may get wet" attraction like Splash Mountain before heading back to our Resort hotel for an afternoon swim and a nap in our air-conditioned room. As it starts to get a bit cooler in the evening, we go back to the theme parks.

Monica, I hope this was helpful in deciding what would be the best time for your visit. I know you'll have a magical stay, no matter what you decide!
