I am planning to go for my daughters 5th birthday in May 2016. How does the fast pass work? We are not staying in a Disney resort so I don't know if that matters? Is there anything that I should do to make things easier or any advice anyone can give!

    Hi Yindeli!
Thanks for joining us here at the Disney Parks Moms Panel! FastPass+ is a way for you to reserve a spot in a shorter line for certain attractions within a certain time period. Even if you're not staying in a Walt Disney World Resort hotel, you can take advantage of this fantastic service! To make things easier, get yourself set up with a My Disney Experience account online, purchase your tickets online and link your tickets to your My Disney Experience account. Then, 30 days prior to your arrival, you can make your FastPass+ selections for attractions, Character Greetings and special viewing areas for parades or fireworks for the first day of your trip. You may choose three selections per day, all in the same park. If you want the best selections, go online 30 days before each day of your trip and make your selections for one theme park. Once you arrive, go to the attraction in your allotted time slot, touch your Magic Band or park ticket to the touch point and enjoy the nice, short wait for the attraction. Repeat for all your FastPass+ selections.

Yindeli, I hope this helps you plan a magical birthday vacation for your little girl!

    Best Wishes,
    Amy B.
