I am planning a friend's trip to Disneyland in November 2017. We have club/concierge level rooms at The Grand Californian. Can I use the concierge service to book dining reservations?

Hello, Anne Marie! Thanks for bringing your question to the Disney Parks Moms Panel. I am beyond thrilled that you will be staying at Disney's Grand Californian Hotel & Spa this November!

You'll be glad to know that there is preferred reservation access for all Disneyland Resort Hotel Guests. This means there are a certain number of reservations for restaurants and the Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique set aside specifically for hotel Guests. If you call to book a reservation, the phone system will ask you if you have an existing hotel reservation. After following the prompts, you will be connected to a Cast Member who can book your reservations.

You can also certainly receive assistance from the Concierge Staff for a variety of needs, including booking dining reservations once you have arrived at the hotel. However, I recommend planning ahead and making your own reservations up to 60 days in advance online or by calling (714) 781-3463, instead of waiting until you have checked in. You will find that most restaurants will have plenty of availability if you book early. If you wait to use the Concierge service, restaurant availability may be limited.

Finally, don't forget to take advantage of Extra Magic Hour every day of your stay. This early hour is invaluable in my opinion because you can get so much done in the parks with low crowds. Plus, Extra Magic Hour at Disney California Adventure Park is only for Disneyland Resort Hotel Guests!

I hope you have a wonderful visit to the Happiest Place on Earth!
