We are planning our first visit & I am lost... I would like to plan out everything in advance so we only have to follow our itinerary but it’s hard since I don’t know what is close to what & where! Help!

    Hi Candace,

Thanks for visiting the Disney Parks Moms Panel.  It’s exciting to hear you're planning your first visit to Walt Disney World. Know that each of us here on the Moms Panel is so very happy to help you plan your first visit.

The first tip is to explore Walt Disney World Resort using the online interactive maps. You'll quickly and easily get a great feel for the whole World — all 4 theme parks, Disney Springs, the water parks, and ESPN Wide World of Sports Complex — and where they are located. Zooming in and moving around on the interactive map lets you see what's where. Digital versions of the printed Guide Maps with all attractions for each park are available online.

Next, you’ll want to get familiar with the convenient Resort Transportation. The Monorail, water taxi, and ferryboat  transportation are fun, enjoyable adventures in themselves and the bus transportation is comfortable and convenient.

Once you have your sense of what’s where, you can use the dining planning to search for dining locations and restaurants in the parks and resorts you’ll be visiting. For each of the dining options, you can also view its location on the interactive map.

When you put together your big picture of what’s where and what you’ll want to enjoy, you can use the My Disney Experience online site and mobile app to plan out and manage your itinerary.

Candace, please be sure to visit us here at the Moms Panel with any new questions you have as you plan for your first trip. We're here for you!
