We're planning our first vacation to Disney next year. To say the least I am Overwhelmed! So I thought I'd reach out for some advice, tips and suggestions. We have two girls 9 and 5, 2 yo son, my husband and myself. We're staying offsite.

    Hi Samantha,

I am so glad that you reached out to the Disney Parks Moms Panel. There is a lot to consider when planning your first Walt Disney World vacation. We on the panel are here to help you with this process!

One of the first things that I suggest that guests planning a first visit to Walt Disney World do is to watch the online Walt Disney World planning video. This will give you an idea of what each theme park is like.

Since you have already chosen a place to stay, I think that your next decision might be what type of Walt Disney World tickets you would like to purchase. You will need to decide how many days you would like to spend at Walt Disney World. Some guests like to visit the theme parks every day, while some prefer to have certain days that they do not visit a theme park. You will also need to decide if you want to visit one park per day, or if you want to be able to visit more than one park each day. If you want to visit more than one park each day, you will need to add the Park Hopper Option to your tickets. If you do add the Park Hopper Option, you can then decide if you would like to add the Park Hopper Plus option, which will give you visits to water parks, miniature golf, and other fun options.

I also suggest that you set up a My Disney Experience account. You can link your tickets in this account, and this is also where you will be able to keep track of your dining reservations as well as make Disney FastPass+ selections.

I would love to help you plan more Samantha; however, I am limited in the space that I have to answer. Please do write back if you have any further questions!
