We are planning our first trip to WDW in May with my 3 and 5 year old girls. My oldest is playing Mother Gothel in her school play and wants to meet her.Is this possible? And how approachable are the "villains" in general to a somewhat nervous kid?

    Hi Julie!

How adorable!!!  I have a co-worker who is the spitting image of Mother Gothel and we have always joked with her that she would make such a great addition to the characters at Walt Disney World!  Sadly, Mother Gothel does not make any appearances at Walt Disney World at this time.  However, Rapunzel and Flynn Ryder both appear in the Storytime Garden near Cinderella's Castle.  So much fun!

Also, while the villains can be QUITE intimidating at first, they can gauge your child's comfort level and will react accordingly.  I might mention that your daughter is very excited to meet Cruella (or the villain of choice) but that she is a little scared.  The villain will then turn off the scare factor if they can!  Enjoy every second of your vacation - it will be here before you know it!
