We are planning our first trip to WDW. We are looking at June or July 2018. When do you suggest is the best time to go in that time frame? My daughter will be 18 by then and this will be her graduation present which she is really looking forward to! Thanks

    Hi Dave!

This will be the best graduation gift ever for your daughter and one she will never forget. I can say that because this is exactly what we did for our daughter when she graduated from high school.

My suggestion for timing would be to book the trip as soon as you can after graduation. There are plenty of Package Options available to look through. The weather will only get warmer and more humid as the summer ventures into July and August. June will be warm but it also won’t be quite as crowded.

To avoid the biggest crowds book the trip as early in June as possible. Plan ahead for your dining reservations at the 180 mark and be sure and open up your My Disney Experience Accounts. Link your tickets and reservations and then if staying in a Disney Resort get ready to book the FastPasses 60 days in advance. With all the tough planning done in advance all you have to do is arrive and enjoy your magical stay.

There are lots of fun things you can do to help celebrate this momentous occasion. Consider booking a Fireworks Specialty Cruise where you can enjoy a private cruise in a pontoon boat before anchoring to view the Magic Kingdom fireworks or the Epcot Illuminations Show.

You might also consider doing something special and work with the Disney Floral and Gifts for some pixie dust gifts for the room. So many wonderful options!
