Hello! We are planning our first trip to WDW in April 2011. We've already secured lodging through our Wyndham Timeshare & are staying on Disney property at a WDW Good Neighbor Hotel. Are we able to take advantage of Extra Magic Hour's & transpo

Hi, Anne! Congratulations on your first trip to Walt Disney World! You must be thrilled!  Although the Downtown Disney Hotels are on Disney property, they are not owned and operated by Disney, and with the exception of the Hilton, do not participate in Extra Magic Hours.

For most guests, the hotels do provide easy access (a nice walk) to Downtown Disney -- which makes Disney bus transportation accessible.  Plus, most provide bus transportation directly from your DTD hotel to the theme parks -- although their frequency and hours of operation may not be as convenient as Disney's transportation.

For full and unbiased reports on your specific DTD hotel, I recommend taking a look at mousesavers.com and allears.net so that you better know how to plan and what to expect. Have a wonderful day and a magical vacation!
