    Trisha Asked

Hi there! We are planning our first trip with our two boys, 7 and 5 yrs old. We'll be arriving in May 2013 and staying at AOA. My question is I have not booked the actual hotel, etc yet,, should I book now or hold out to see if specials become available?

Congratulations on your first Walt Disney World Vacation, Trisha!  My family of six historically takes our trips to Walt Disney World in May as well!  Disney's Art of Animation Resort is a great choice for your first visit! I had the pleasure of touring Disney's newest resort in April before it officially opened and loved the immersive storybook theming and attention to detail at every turn!  Rest assured, guests can still take advantage of discounts that are made available by Disney after they have already paid their deposit. In fact, I have done this very same thing in the past. I had already booked a guest room (room only reservation) at a Walt Disney World Resort when a discount was released. I called the Walt Disney Travel Company at (407) W-DISNEY and asked if the promotion could be applied to my exiting reservation and it could. Please know that discounts are subject to availability. I would recommend going ahead and booking your guest room now so that you are guaranteed a room at your preferred resort. With that being said, I would not hesitate to call immediately if a promotion should become available for your vacation dates since it will not automatically be applied to your reservation. Be sure to check the Special Offers webpage periodically for any new promotions. Follow the link I have provided to learn more. I hope this information helps!  Please feel free to write me back with any additional questions. Best wishes for a Magical first Walt Disney World Vacation, Trisha!
    Happy Planning,
