We are planning our very first trip March 2017. Due to having a large family we are on a budget, staying out of WDW. Any tips for first time visitors?

    Hi Josie!

Thanks for stopping by the Disney Parks Moms Panel with your question. I am so thrilled for your first Walt Disney World visit and I know you are, too. It will be the beginning of many magical memories being made with those you love!

I have a large family, as well, so I am always looking for the most economical way of doing things. My best advice to you is: plan ahead. I've found that our Walt Disney World trips always go more smoothly and that it is easier to stay within our budget if I am thorough in my planning. First of all, create a My Disney Experience account. Next, make your Advanced Dining Reservations, purchase Park Admission Tickets, select your FastPass+ experiences (and more!) within your account. Since you are not staying in a Walt Disney World Resort Hotel, you will need to purchase MagicBands, which I would highly recommend you use. Once you have done this, you can link every element of your vacation in My Disney Experience to your MagicBands. I love the way MagicBands simplify your plans, help your entire group stay organized and on schedule, and keep every part of your vacation close at hand with just a touch of your band. It is one of my very favorite parts of vacationing at Walt Disney World!

Please let us know if there is anything else we can do to help with your planning. Here's to a wonderful pixie-dusted vacation for you all!
