I am planning our first trip for March 2011. I booked the character breakfast at Akershus royal banquet hall for 8:05 a.m. I am worried because Epcot does not open until 9 a.m that day. So do I need to change my reservation time or how does that work?

Hi, Jennifer!  I love snagging a dining reservation before the theme park actually opens!  Walking to the restaurant is almost like having the whole park to yourself!

You will be allowed to enter EPCOT to go to your dining reservation at Akershus.  They usually have a special turnstile for you to check in at, and someone there will ask your name to confirm your reservation.  You'll be able to head back to the World Showcase to enjoy your breakfast, and when you are through, if the park is not open yet, you'll head back to Future World, where you can wait with everyone else for the official "rope drop" to open the park.

Have your camera handy!  This is a great time to get some photos of your family in the park without having to worry about other guests getting into your shots.  There won't be any attractions or shops open yet, but there are some great photo opportunities to be had!

Enjoy a fabulous breakfast and a wonderful vacation!
