Hi we are planning our first trip as a family to Disney world. We are looking at a week in June(3rd week), week of July 4th or week of Thanksgiving. Which is the busiest times?

    Hi Laura,

Thank you so much for visiting the Disney Parks Moms Panel with your question. We on the panel love helping guests to plan magical vacations!

As a general guideline and from past experience on Walt Disney World vacations, I think that dates around holidays tend to be when the most people visit Walt Disney World. When children are off from school, and adults have vacation time from work, these times are generally when people head on vacation. Of the times that you listed, I would expect Thanksgiving to be the most crowded as people generally have more time off for this holiday. Next would likely be July 4th, and then the week that you mention in June will likely be the least crowded of the three. If you are making this decision solely on the time that would have the least guests in the theme parks, I would go with the week in June.

However, if you need to travel over Thanksgiving or July 4th, do not fret! You will still have a great time. I often travel to Walt Disney World at these times. My tips for heading to Walt Disney World at a busier time of year include being sure to make Disney Dining reservations early, and also taking advantage of Disney's FastPass+ system. By making your dining reservations early, you will be sure that there is space for you at the dining locations you want at the time you want to eat. Disney's FastPass+ system will allow you to experience some attractions each day with reduced wait times.

I hope that these thoughts are helpful for you, Laura. As you continue your planning for your Disney vacation, please do stop back with any further questions that you have!
