We are planning our first trip to DW in September 2019! We are doing 2 days in Magic Kingdom and planning to go to Hollywood Studios. Will 1 day be sufficient for Hollywood Studios or should I plan for 2? My son is 9 and my daughter is 7.

    Hi Erin,

I’m super excited to hear that you’ll be visiting the most magical place on earth for the first time next September! You and your Mouseketeers are going to LOVE it, and I just know that you’ll create memories together that you’ll cherish forever!

While there are lots of cool things to do at Disney’s Hollywood Studios, and some people do visit for multiple days, I feel like you should be able to experience most, if not all, of the park in one day. I’d encourage you to arrive at least 30 minutes before the theme park opens to make sure you have plenty of time to go through security and ticketing before being among the first Guests into the park for the day. Be sure to visit the all new Toy Story Land! It’s SO much fun and kids of all ages will love all the playful details from childhood. If you or your Mouseketeers are thrill seekers, you won’t want to miss The Twilight Zone Tower of Terror or Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster featuring Aerosmith. Of course, one of the best parts about a visit to Disney’s Hollywood Studios is all of the wonderful shows. My family loves Beauty and the Beast-Live on Stage, Indiana Jones Epic Stunt Spectacular!, and For the First Time in Forever: A Frozen Sing-Along Celebration. We also can't wait to see the all new Lightning McQueen's Racing Academy, which will be opening in early 2019.

The most challenging part about planning your day will be scheduling your day around all of the shows you'd like to see. Be sure to check each experience online to see the times they'll be showing or pick up a Times Guide when you first arrive so that you can plan your FastPass+ selections and your day accordingly! You are going to have a BLAST!

Thanks so much for visiting us at the Disney Parks Moms Panel, Erin, and have a truly magical vacation!
