We are planning our first trip to Disney. We have two boys 11 and 7. We were looking at either the week of Thanksgiving or June/July.I am not too excited about long extremly hot lines, but wonder about the growds around the holiday. What would you suggest?

I would personally suggest the Thanksgiving week vacation at Walt Disney World over a summer week.  With good planning you can still manage the crowds at the holiday and even enjoy some of the Christmas holiday events that start mid November.  Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party is a great event to attend if you are there during one of its dates.

The weather will likely be much more enjoyable in November as it does get quite warm and humid in the summer months.  It is also the rainy season in the summer with almost daily rain showers to plan around.  In my past experience hot and tired kids are far harder to please then just tired kids when having to stand in lines!
