Hello! I am planning my first trip to Disney World in September with my 6 & 1 year old. I have no idea where to even start planning. Does anyone have any suggestions on good planning tools, dining places or even what exactly I should plan? Thanks!

    Hi Ravin,

I am so excited that you are planning your 1st trip to Walt Disney World Resort.  I love to plan my trips so here are a few tips and suggestions to get you started.

Pick a Disney Resort Hotel that fits your family’s style.  There are so many options that I am sure you will find the perfect one for you.

A scheduled sit-down meal is a must-do for my family for each day of our stay and Walt Disney World Resort offers tons of great restaurants and character dining experiences.  Reservations open 180 days prior to your arrival and can be done online or by calling 1-407-WDW-DINE.

Be sure to make your FastPass+ selections.  By doing so, you will be able to lock-in some of your must-do experiences before you even leave home.  If you will be staying at a Walt Disney World Resort Hotel, you may make your selections 60 days prior to your arrival date with valid park admission. Otherwise, you can make your selections 30 days in advance of each day of your visit with valid park admission.

When planning my days, I always like to use “crowd calendars” to get an idea of how busy it will be and which parks are best to visit on which day.  My preferred calendar is which provides valuable information and is absolutely free.  This site is not an official Disney website, but I find it to be a great tool when planning a Walt Disney World Resort vacation.

There is so much more we could over, but unfortunately, there’s not enough space.   I hope this helps you get started in your planning and if I can help you with anything else, please let me know.
    Happy planning!
