We are planning our first trip to Disney World for October 2013. I am wondering when the best time to book our package would be? I feel like booking now would be best but someone told me to wait til 90 days before to get the best deal?? Thoughts?

Hi Ginger!  Welcome back to the Moms Panel!  I would definitely not wait to book your Walt Disney World vacation package for October!  You will be arriving during the very popular Epcot International Food & Wine Festival, and you want to make sure that your preferred resort and accommodations will be available.  If you wait until 90 days out, you may end up disappointed.

Currently, there are no discounts offered on packages for October, and I am doubtful there will be any new ones offered for that time.  The Food & Wine Festival is just really popular, and Disney doesn't usually need to offer incentives to attract more guests if bookings are high.  If you do see an offer pop up, and it is for your vacation dates, than contact your travel agent, or Disney if you made your reservation through them, to ask about modifying your current reservation to include the discount.  So long as your are further than 45 days from your arrival, there should be no penalties for doing so.

Ginger, I know you will really enjoy visiting Walt Disney World during the Epcot International Food & Wine Festival - be sure to visit the Disney Parks Blog and subscribe to their daily updates to find out all the latest information for this years festival as it's announced!

    Have a magical day!
