We are planning our first trip to Disney for the week of 4/19/2020. We hear Easter/Spring Break times are crazy busy so we are a little concerned about the crowds. This is the week after Easter. What should we expect a week removed from Easter?

Hi, Rebecca!  Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel.

That is so exciting that you are planning your first trip to the Walt Disney World Resort!  You are in for such a magical experience!

Easter and Spring Break do tend to be busy times at Walt Disney World.  In my opinion, the week before Easter seems to be the busiest time during Spring Break season.  However, if you do your resEARch and plan ahead for your trip, I don't think you have any reason to worry about crowds.

I would definitely recommend that you stay at a Walt Disney World Resort Hotel, as this comes with some perks that are especially helpful when the parks are a bit more crowded.  As a Walt Disney World Resort Hotel guest, you will be able to make FastPass+ selections 60 days prior to your arrival, and you will also be able to take advantage of Extra Magic Hours.

I also suggest that you start your days bright and early.  The Walt Disney World theme parks are at their least crowded first thing in the morning.  Did you know that breakfast reservations for table-service restaurants inside the parks can be made prior to park opening?  This is a great way to enter the parks before the crowds.  Be sure to make your dining reservations 180 days in advance.

There is a great Disney planning website that you should check out, Rebecca.  There you will find brochures, videos, and more to help you plan a Walt Disney World vacation that is practically perfect in every way.  If you have any other questions, feel free to visit us again.
