We are planning our first trip to Disney in June of 2012. I am thinking of getting the deluxe dining plan package but I keep seeing things on the website about the importance of booking meal reservations early - up to 180 days prior to your trip. really

Hi, Jennifer! Really.  If you want one of the more popular meals (like Cinderella's Royal Table, Le Cellier, etc...) making your Advance Dining Reservations 180 days out is the only way to go.  If you are going to have the Deluxe Dining Plan, you are going to need many Table Service meals for which you will need reservations.  We always make our reservations as soon as possible to get the restaurants and times that we want.  If you are very flexible, you may be able to wait a little closer, but I don't ever like to chance missing our favorite places to eat.  Happy planning and have a Magical vacation!
