We are planning our very first trip to Disney and want to go in March. I can not decide on a place to stay.We have a 3 yr. old boy and want more of a down to earth resort so that we can also have "family time" without being too crowded..any sugge

    Hi Amy,

I have a couple of ideas that would allow your family to have some extra space, but are still reasonably priced.  The All--Star Music Resort offers family suites, so you'd have two rooms:  a family room with furniture that converts for sleeping, a bedroom, two bathrooms, and a kitchenette.   Similarly, the Cabins at Fort Wilderness have a bedroom, living room, bathroom, and full kitchen.   I've included links to the resorts so that you can explore them further and see their individual costs.

The deluxe resorts also have lovely rooms that are larger as well as additional amenities.  My sons love the Animal Kingdom Lodge.  How often can you watch giraffes and zebra from your hotel balcony? The Yacht/Beach Club have what I believe is the best pool area in all of Walt Disney World with its sand bottom pool meandering about and a large sand bar play area for children. Finally, the Polynesian Resort and Contemporary Resort have some of the largest rooms on property and are just a "hop, skip & jump" away from the Magic Kingdom.

By the way, there are some special offers in March if you're curious -- just click here.
