I am planning my first trip to Disney with my family of four, I have two little girls, 5 and 3 and trying to get suggestions on where to stay. I am considering the the Art of Animation or should I stay a Moderate hotel.

    Hi V. Denise,

Truly all of the Walt Disney World hotels are child friendly. You should really decide where to stay based on your budget and your preference for themeing.

The new Art of Animation resort is particularly appealing for children from a themeing perspective. Walking around the resort feels like you're really living in a Disney movie. And because the resort is new, everything is state of the art from an adult perspective.

The moderate resorts tend to be larger, with farther to walk to get to the food court. Also, while these hotels are beautiful, the themeing does somewhat more appeal to adults than children. For example, a three year old will understand a Lion King theme, but maybe not understand a Mayan dig site theme.

While your family would fit into a standard Little Mermaid room at AoA, my guess is that you'll have a more relaxed time if you stayed in a family suite in one of the other sections, but really it's up to you.

Good luck with your planning. Please let us know what else we can do to help.
