Hi Patricia! Thanks so much for sharing your question with the Disney Parks Moms Panel! I love that you have the 4 day Park Hopper Pass over a 7 day stay. The "rest" days are a great idea.
Walt Disney World Resort has an unwavering commitment to provide a magical experience to all Guests. Before your vacation begins, be sure to review the
Services for Guests with Cognitive Disabilities information. You will find invaluable tools and resources.
One of my favorite resources is the "Guide for Guests with Cognitive Disabilities." If you would like, you can print it out and take it with you to the theme parks. It has great information including Frequently Asked Questions, Trip Planning Strategies, Transportation Information, Park Entrance Information, Attraction Information, Tips for Character Greetings, Break Areas and so much more.
You might also want to consider the Disability Access Service if your son will have challenges tolerating extended wait times at attractions. With the Disability Access Service, your traveling party will schedule a return time that is comparable to the current queue. Rather than waiting in line, you can enjoy other areas of the theme park and return at the appropriate time. You can also use this service in conjunction with
FastPass+. When you first arrive at a theme park, visit Guest Relations to discuss the Disability Access Service and/or other accommodations for your son during your visit.
For more information, you can contact Disability Services at (407) 560-2547 or email disability.services@disneyparks.com.
Please let me know if you need any other tips or information as you plan your vacation. Enjoy every magical moment!
