We are planning our first family WDW visit (kids are 9 & 8) for the last week of September, we are staying off site but I have no idea where to start to plan our days as far as character exp. or the bibbity boutique - what are some 1st time musts?

    Hi Sara,

Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel! I am delighted that you brought this question to us. Planning your first trip the Walt Disney World Resort can create quite the excitement!

While staying off-site is certainly an option, I recommend that guests stay at a resort hotel. If cost is a concern, the Value Resorts are often the most affordable. Staying at a resort hotel will allow you to reserve Fast Pass+ 60 days in advance of your trip. Doing so will allow you to book three ride times per day. Fast Passes are a must. They are like golden tickets that save you wait time in lines.

Another must-do is to review the dining options and make Advanced Dining Reservations for Character Meals. Some of our favorites are Chef Mickey's, Crystal Palace, 1900 Park Fare and Cinderella's Royal Table. If you do not purchase the Park Hopper option and you want to eat in the parks, be sure to make your dining reservations at the park you plan to visit for each day.

The Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique - Magic Kingdom and Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique - Disney Springs offer magical transformations for princesses and knights. Call 407-939-7895 to make a reservation. Reservations can be made up to 180 days in advance.

Finally, I suggest that you review the price estimates and menus for the restaurants. For each restaurant site on the Dining List, you should see dollar sign icons for the restaurant. This gives you an estimate of the price. Or, if you check the menus for non-buffet/family style restaurants, they typically have prices listed. Doing so will help you better budget for food.

    I hope this helps!
