We're planning our first family WDW vacation and are trying to really plan our days. Is it possible to get the times of various shows (i.e. Star Wars weekend events, Disney Live on Stage shows, etc.) before we actually arrive?

Since you mentioned Star Wars Weekend events, you are probably venturing on your first family Walt Disney World vacation in June. Our family is counting down the days until a June trip too!

WDW's Official Calendar lists the schedule of parades, fireworks and park hours six months in advance. Click on your individual dates for specifics including any attractions that will be closed for refurbishment.

For other WDW entertainment, my favorite resource is pages.prodigy.net/stevesoares/
It’s truly a wonderful research tool that gives information on live entertainment at Animal Kingdom, Magic Kingdom, Epcot, Hollywood Studios, as well as at the Boardwalk Resort and Downtown Disney. There is also information on special events such as Star Wars Weekends (SWW). Schedules are updated weekly.

Another good place to look up info on SWW is sww.mgmstudios.org/main/. You’ll get touring tips to manage the crowds.

In 2007 the schedule for Star Wars Weekends was as follows:

Three Daily One Hour Autograph Sessions at 10am, 1:45 & 3:45pm
    Motorcade at 11:15am
Stars of the Saga Talk Show and Q&A Session at 1:00pm
    Jedi Training Academy
    Behind the Force at 10 & 11am, 3:45, 5:00 & 6:00pm
Padawan Mind Challenge at 12:00 and 6:00pm
    Hyperspace Hoopla at 7:00pm
