    Samantha Asked

We are planning our first family vacation to Walt Disney World at the end of April with our 5 year old daughter. She loves all things "Princess". Is there any specific attractions or things that you recommend we make sure to see with her?

    Hi, Samantha!

I'm so excited for your family - and especially for your daughter's first visit to Walt Disney World! She's at the perfect age to experience all the magic for the first time! She is going to have so much fun - there is certainly no shortage of "princess" things to do and see.

First, I would suggest taking time to visit New Fantasyland in Magic Kingdom. Your little princess will love meeting Ariel in her Grotto and Belle at Enchanted Tales with Belle. And don't miss the Under the Sea - Journey of The Little Mermaid attraction. Cinderella, Snow White, Aurora, Rapunzel, Merida and Tiana also hold court in Magic Kingdom. Be sure to pick up a Times Guide when you enter the theme park for the updated character schedules and locations. I also recommend having lunch at Be Our Guest in the Beast's Castle - the menu is upscale quick service and the restaurant is just beautiful. For dinner, you'll need to make an Advanced Dining Reservation.

My daughter really enjoys meeting the princesses in Epcot. You'll find Snow White in Germany, Aurora (and often Belle and the Beast) in France, Mulan in China and Jasmine in Morocco. Again, consult the Times Guide for the schedules. The newest princess, Sofia the First, appears in Disney Junior - Live on Stage! and the cast from Beauty and the Beast perform in the live show at Hollywood Studios. You'll also find the Voyage of The Little Mermaid show and the incredible Fantasmic! nighttime show here, too.

In addition to all of these princess-themed attractions and experiences, your daughter might also want to dine with the royal ladies at Fairytale Dining at Cinderella's Royal Table in Cinderella Castle in Magic Kingdom or Storybook Dining at Akershus Royal Banquet Hall in the Norway Pavilion in Epcot. These are very popular character dining experiences, so be sure to reserve in advance (up to 180 days prior to your stay).

    Have a magical vacation!
