We are planning our first family trip to Disney in Orlando next February. For budgeting purposes, could you give me a ballpark price range of what we are looking at? We are a family of 5 (2 adults, 3 children), will be staying 4 nights (Sat-Tues), Feb. 8

    Hi, Pam!

How exciting that you're planning your family's very first trip to the Walt Disney World Resort!

I'm going to give you some pointers to get started because without knowing the ages of your children, it's hard to give you a ballpark price range. Children three years of age and under do not require Park tickets, children ages four to nine are given the "child" pricing, and children ten and over are considered "adults" for the purposes of admission and the Disney Dining Plans.

My first suggestion is that you go to the main Walt Disney World website. You'll be able to play around there with your party size and get some current estimates on the different Resort Hotels. I recommend using a Friday-Tuesday weekend from February of this year for your search just to give you an idea on a package price. There are several different Resort levels to choose from including Value, Moderate, and Deluxe. Package pricing is only available through the end of this year, but you are able to book a room only reservation for up to 499 days out by calling the Walt Disney Travel Company at 407.939.7675.

I sure hope this gives you a good place to start and I encourage you to come back and ask us as many questions as you have because we all love to help!

Wishing you Pixie Dusted vacation planning!
