Hi, We are planning our first family trip for 2/15. I have 2 children, 10 & 3. I am kind-of overwhelmed & not sure how to plan it to be fair for both their ages. Any suggestions? Cards, Toy Story, Peter Pan and other things like the tween shows.. H

    Hi Juli!

Congratulations on planning your first magical trip to the Walt Disney World Resort!  You are in store for such a wonderful time.  You have come to the right place, so breathe a little easier and let us help you plan your Fairy Tale vacation.

I also have a 10-year-old and a 3-year-old (and a 1-year-old) and like you, I like to make sure I keep things fun for everyone.  When making our FastPass+ selections, I picked attractions for each kid. My toddler loves Mickey Mouse, so I chose visiting with Mickey Mouse at Town Square Theater for him, while my oldest is a thrill seeker, so I selected Splash Mountain for him.  There are plenty of experiences they will both adore and you will be able to do as a family like Toy Story Midway Mania! or Buzz Lightyear's Space Ranger Spin, but if your little one isn't quite big enough for the faster attractions, make sure to take advantage of the Rider Switch feature to ensure you and your spouse can each ride with your eldest.

Honestly, don't worry about it too much.  Regardless of what you select and are able to experience, you will all have an incredible visit and there will always be more to plan for your next trip.  If there is anything else I can assist you with, please feel free to let me know.  Have a marvelous vacation!

    Magical Wishes,

    Lauren

Hi-ya, Pals! I'm a wife and mother of three who's enjoyed many special occasions at Walt Disney World Resort with my family: graduations, pregnancies, birthdays, anniversaries, holidays, reunions, and even our Fairy Tale Honeymoon. I look for any excuse to return "home" often and would love to help add a little extra Pixie Dust to your next magical adventure. Learn More About Lauren
