We are planning our first ever Disney trip for February 2016, where is the best place to start and how soon can I book something none of the hotels show 2016 as an option? Thank you

    Hi Lisa,

Congratulations on your first Walt Disney World vacation!  Woo Hoo!  You have picked a perfect starting point - right here at the Disney Parks Moms Panel.  We are here to help with all of your vacation planning questions.

Typically next year's room rates and vacation packages are released in the summertime.  The actual release date is unknown so keep checking back.  In the meantime you are able to make a "room only" reservation by calling the phone number listed under Disney Resort hotel reservations in this linked phone directory. You will pay a deposit in the amount of one night's current room rate.  When the updated room rates and vacation packages are released your reservation will be updated to reflect the current pricing.  At that time you may choose to keep your room only reservation or call back and convert your room reservation to a Disney vacation package.  A vacation package includes Disney Resort hotel accommodations, theme park tickets, and an optional Disney Dining Plan.

Since you have your dates already decided, your next step will be deciding which Disney Resort hotel is best for your family.  Typically I let my budget be my guide when making this decision.  There are many Disney Resort hotel choices from value to deluxe accommodations.  You are sure to find one that fits your budget and your vacation style.

I hope this information helps you begin your magical Walt Disney World vacation planning.  Be sure to visit our Disney Parks Moms Panel site to read through previous questions or to submit one of your own.

    Happy Planning!
