Hi moms! Planning our first ever Disney Cruise. Going to do a 4 nights land and 4 nights sea trip. Thinking of going either September, October, November or December. Which month is better for cruising while getting nice weather also to do the parks? Thanks

Welcome back, Rachel! I remember planning my very first cruise with Disney, and finding out about more and more details and magic that would be in store! It's like unwrapping a present very slowly, getting more excited with each new detail you learn! What fun you must be having!

You'll have great weather no matter when you sail with Disney, because the Bahamas and Caribbean are summer-like for most of the year! My personal preference for our family is November for a few reasons. We like to incorporate a visit to the Walt Disney World Resort before or after we sail, and we don't like to be too hot at the parks, so November is a great time. Plus, on the ships, you'll get to experience the beginning of the Very Merrytime Cruises, with holiday decorations and activities aplenty! We haven't experienced huge crowds, either on the ship, or at the parks, during November, and we also tend to find really good rates during that month too!

Check out the Find A Cruise Page of Disney's website where you can play around with the different ships, itineraries, and sail dates to find one that best fits your budget and desires. Then, once you have that set, add a visit to the Walt Disney World resort either before or after, or both! My family prefers to have fun in the parks at Walt Disney World before we set sail. It's such fun to explore and play at the parks, but it does wear us out! We love to have the relaxing cruise to look forward to after our days on the go. But, don't worry if you're still ready to go, go go! There are activities and events all day and night onboard the ship and in the ports of call! But, there is also plenty of space for relaxing! The kids can enjoy the Youth Clubs while you and your husband can wind down by the Quiet Cove Pool. Really, something for everyone!
    Have fun planning, Rachel!
