    Devonna from OK Asked

I am planning our first DW vacation in May with 3 kids ages 5,7 and 12. We will be driving from Oklahoma so I want to be well prepared. I ordered the planning dvd but any advice AT ALL would be greatly appreciated. Best parks, resorts, dininig plan?

Hello Devonna!  Congratulations on planning your first trip to Walt Disney World, your family is going to have a great time!  There are so many things to plan out on a Walt Disney World vacation so if you ask me a more specific question I will be able to help you more.

A few things I suggest looking into to start off your planning is where you want to stay?  Decide if you want to stay in a Value, Moderate or Deluxe Resort based on your budget.  Keep in mind, if trying to save money, you will only be in the room a limited amount of time.   To keep costs down, we normally stay in a value or moderate resort.  My favorite value resort is Disney's Pop Century Resort and my favorite moderate is Disney's Caribbean Beach Resort.

Since it is your first time visiting Walt Disney World, I would suggest planning 2 days at Magic Kingdom.  There is a lot to do and see at Magic Kingdom that your kids are absolutely going to love.  They will want to do their favorite attractions again, so spending a second day there is always a good idea!  You will want to take everything in savoring your kids happy faces, having 2 days at Magic Kingdom allows you to relax a little bit .

I am not sure how long you will be vacationing at Walt Disney World but if you have the time to visit all 4 theme parks, go for it!  Each park is so uniquely designed, it is hard to pick a favorite.  Be sure to utilize the FastPass+ system so you can get on the most popular attractions quicker.

I would love to continue helping you plan your vacation!  Feel free to ask me another question!
