We are planning our first Disney vacation for March. We will have an 8 year old and 7 month old. We need a hotel in a very convenient spot to go back and forth with baby. Which one do you recommend?

Hi Jackie! How exciting to be planning your family's first Walt Disney World vacation! With a young baby, I agree that you'll want a hotel that's very convenient to the parks. If a Deluxe resort is in your budget, I'd recommend that you stay in one of the resorts located on the monorail route: the Contemporary, the Polynesian, or the Grand Floridian. You can't go wrong with any of these hotels, which are very convenient to the Magic Kingdom, the park I expect you'll visit the most during your trip. It's easy to roll your baby's stroller on the monorail and zip to and from your hotel to the Magic Kingdom. Choose the resort from those three with a theme and rates that appeal most to your family. All three of them have large rooms and lots of great restaurants. The Grand Floridian is luxurious but simultaneously kid-friendly and is one of my personal favorites. The Polynesian has an enchanting tropical theme and a fun volcano pool. The Contemporary is modern, and kids (and adults!) love that the monorail drives right through the building!

When you make your reservation, be sure you note that it's your first Disney vacation!  We're happy to help with every step of your planning, so please come visit us again at the Moms Panel if you have more questions!
