Hi! I am planning our first Disney Vacation for the end of February 2015. It will be me, my husband (a disabled vet) and our four children (9,7,5,3). How can I make this trip as easy as possible with such a large family? What are some money saving tips?

    Hey Rachael!

I am so excited to help you plan your very first Walt Disney World vacation.

Here are some ways to make your trip as easy as possible:
    • Sign up for a free My Disney Experience account. This will help you manage all your reservations, FastPass+ selections and itinerary in one easy location.
    • Utilize Disney's FastPass+ service. This will allow you to pre-select three attractions each day to bypass the standby line.
    • Check out the theme park maps online so you can structure your touring plans before you get to the parks.
    • With kids of varying ages you might want to peruse the Attractions page so you know which attractions each of your kids might enjoy.

When it comes to saving money at Disney here are some tips you can try:

    • Since your husband is a veteran make sure to take advantage of Disney's military discounts on resort stays and theme park tickets.
    • A great way to budget for your trip is to pre-purchase a Disney Gift Card for each of your children. This will be their 'allowance' for the trip to buy merchandise and snacks.
    • Creative dining is a great way to save money. For example, splitting entrees and eating at quick/counter service restaurants will save money. Check out Pecos Bill Tall Tale Inn & Café in the Magic Kingdom. It's one of my favorites.

I have a lot more ideas but no more room to share so come back and see me if you have any other questions.
