Hello. Planning on our First Disney trip the week of May 5, 2013. I'm curious on how the Fantasmic show works with the Dining Plan. Is it just one table service credit, or two? What time is the show. Thanks for any add'l info.

    Hi Terri!

Thanks for visiting the Moms Panel with your question and congratulations on your upcoming First Visit to Walt Disney World! I'm so excited for you!

The Fantasmic! Meal Packages are just one Table Service Credit under the Disney Dining Plan if dining at Mama Melrose's Ristorante Italiano or Hollywood & Vine. Two Table Service Credits are required for dining under the package at The Hollywood Brown Derby. My personal favourite is Mama Melrose's. It's a fantastic use of a single credit! Be sure to reserve in advance online or by calling (407) WDW-DINE to check for availability. You can also reserve a lunch time meal and still receive the special voucher for evening admittance to the reserved seating section of Fantasmic!

If reserving closer to travel dates, I'll often reserve a late, lunch time seating at Mama Melrose's and we'll have a big, late breakfast and then enjoy snacking at dinner time. It works out well and we still get to enjoy the benefit of the reserved seating section even if we weren't able to secure a dinner reservation.

In early May 2013, Fantasmic! show time is 9:00pm. You'll want to be sure to arrive for seating by 8:30pm if dining with a Fantasmic! Package, or by 8:00-8:15pm if you're without admittance to the reserved section.

If you have additional questions about your plans, please don't hesitate to write me back Terri. I'd love to hear from you again!

Wishing you a simply Magical time at Walt Disney World!
