We are planning our first Disney trip for July, one of my kids is 2 years old. I know that they don't need a ticket, but how does it work for fast pass and the magicbands?

    Hi Stephanie,

Congratulations on your upcoming first MAGICAL vacation!  If your family will be staying at a Disney Resort hotel, then all Guests listed on the reservation will receive a MagicBand regardless if they have a theme park ticket.  This does include your 2 year old, so be sure you have them listed on your reservation.  Disney Resort hotel Guests have an opportunity to customize (pick a color and name) their MagicBands through My Disney Experience prior to arrival.

Since one of your children is only 2 years old, they will be considered a Guest of Mickey Mouse!  Your child does not need a theme park ticket and may accompany you in line when you redeem your FastPass+ selections.  All children under age of 3 do not need to have a theme park ticket nor make FastPass+ selections of their own regardless if staying in a Disney Resort hotel.

Thank you for stopping by the Disney Parks Moms Panel Stephanie!  Have a Magical vacation and please let us know if you have any further Disney vacation planning questions.  We are always happy to help.
