We are planning our first 4-day trip to WDW on 6/17/12.. We have 3 children: 7, 4, and 2. Which Disney hotel would be the most Convenient for us? The Contemporary? I have heard that the hopper pass was not suitable for family w/ young children. Is it true?

    Hi Fan,

As you have two children under the age of 5, Disney's Contemporary Resort hotel would be super convenient as you can walk or take the monorail to the Magic Kingdom theme park and you also take the monorail to Epcot theme park with a change at the Transport & Ticket Center.

That said, all modes of Disney's complimentary transportation system are child friendly. So even if you were to stay elsewhere, it just means that you will need to fold your stroller(s) when boarding the buses or boats.

I wouldn't say that the park hopper option is not suitable for a family with young children, it really depends on how you plan to spend your time.

If you are planning on spending full days at each of the theme parks, there really isn't any need for you to spend the extra money and add the park hopper option to your Magic Your Way base tickets.

If you wanted to arrive at one of the theme parks first thing in the morning, go back to your Resort hotel for a couple of hours rest/sleep in the afternoon and then return to that same theme park again later that evening, you can do this with a standard Magic Your Way base ticket.

Wishing you a magical trip filled with memories which will last a lifetime!
