Hi! I am planning my family's first trip to Disney World and was wondering what goes on at Disney for the 4th of July? We are planning on arriving that morning. Also, would you recommend the park hopper and/or water parks tickets for our first trip?

    Hi Jeremy,

Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel. The 2015 information for 4th of July at Walt Disney World Resort has not yet been released. In the past, there have been special fireworks displays at Magic Kingdom Park, Epcot, and Disney's Hollywood Studios. Epcot has had Disney characters dressed in patriotic costumes near the American Adventure in World Showcase as well as "Voices of Liberty 4th of July concert" at various times throughout the day. Disney's Hollywood Studios has also hosted a "Rockin' 4th of July Celebration!" and Mulch, Sweat, and Shears has performed. Be sure to check the Disney Parks Blog for new information and updates.

In my opinion, the Park Hopper Option is worth every single penny; especially when you have young children. During my family's many visits to the Walt Disney World Resort, we have loved having the flexibility that a Park Hopper Ticket provides. You can start your day at one Theme Park, head back to your Resort for a nap or pool time, and then end the day at any other Resort you wish to. The Water Parks are a great way to beat the July heat in Florida so adding the Water Park Fun and More Options will allow you to visit Disney's Typhoon Lagoon and Disney's Blizzard Beach. The pool at your Resort is also perfect for breaks from the high temperatures and available for "splash time fun" at no extra cost. Pack plenty of sunscreen and make sure to stay hydrated!

    Enjoy Your Magical Visit,
