We are planning a family vacation to Disneyland Resort during the month of December, specifically after Christmas. We have approximately 30 people ranging in ages from 2yrs to 60+. What tips do you have for planning and traveling with such a large group?

    Aloha Casey!
How fun to have such a large gathering of relatives at the Happiest Place on Earth!
Depending on how many rooms your party will need, there's an awesome service available, where a Guest Services coordinator can help guests plan the ultimate family vacation!
It's called Disney Group Getaways and guests get special room rates and other discounts with this service. However, it's only available if you require ten rooms or more.
If your group will not require that many individual rooms, here are a few tips for planning a trip with a large group:
*Purchase a vacation package. You can either have everyone visit the Disneyland Resort website and do it individually or you can call guest services with this request, although you'll likely have to pay a deposit that covers everyone. The number to call is (714) 520-5060. Keep in mind vacation packages include Hotel accommodations, Park tickets and even a Character Dining Experience.
*Have a pre-trip meeting, even if you can't get everybody to gather in person, have a phone conference or establish an email group where you can gauge people's expectations of the trip. This will help you figure out if you should plan on making large group dining reservations or if you need to make time for Downtown Disney shopping. You can also figure out who is seeking thrill rides and who'd rather save spots for a good parade seat!
*Coordinate so that guests who's never visited the Disneyland Resort get a "1st Time Visit" pin from City Hall at Main Street, U.S.A.
*Also, for those independent folks who'd rather explore on their own,  I would simply establish meeting points and times to regroup, take photos, attend a show together or head back to your hotel.
    Hope this helps!
