Planning a family trip for 2019, I wanted to see if there is a payment plan? monthly, until the date of travel

Hi Caroline! Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel!

This is a great question because the absolute worst way to come home from any vacation is to have a pit-in-the-stomach panic attack once you see the final bill that is about to hit your credit card. Depending on where you search on the Internet, you'll find information that there is an official payment plan option. However those articles and blog posts are most likely older as that service has been discontinued.

The good news is that there are a few solutions. You can absolutely book a rooms-only reservation for your desired vacation date up to 499 days out and put down at the very minimum a $200 deposit. Then as special vacation packages and dining plan options are released you may add those to your room until you've built your perfect vacation. You are then welcome to call the reservation line at (407) 939-5277 at any interval, as many times as you wish, to pay down or pay off your total balance before your arrival.

Creatively you can make your own payment plan by purchasing Disney Gift Cards and using them to pay off your balance at check-in. Disney Gift Cards are available for purchase in a range of denominations online, but you'll also find them at many stores around town where you currently live. You'll see Mickey's smiling face at grocery stores, warehouse clubs, corner drugstores and gas stations; my personal favorite method is to add a single $25 gift card to my cart every time I shop at a certain big box store. It's a small enough addition that I don't miss it, but by the time my vacation rolls around those cards have really added up.

I hope this helped with your own Walt Disney World Resort vacation planning, Caroline, and We'll See You Real Soon!
