Hi! Planning our family trip this summer to WDW. We are a family of 5 with three kids ages 8,2,1. My question is regarding the dining plans . Are my 2 and 1 year old included in the dining plan? Do we have to pay for them separately? How does that work?

    Hi there, Krystina!

Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel! I'm so excited to hEAR you're planning to visit "The Most Magical Place on Earth" this summer with your family!

The Disney Dining Plan is a great way to experience several of the amazing restaurants at the Walt Disney World Resort while having the majority of your dining expenses paid for before your trip begins. I find the Disney Dining Plan to be very flexible and a great value. Unfortunately, the Disney Dining Plan is unavailable for Guests under the age of 3.

You'll be pleased to know that your youngest two Mouseketeers will not be charged at dining locations when sharing from an adult's plate. If you prefer, you may also purchase your little ones items from the menu. As a mom of four children which includes a set of twin boys, I loved when the twins were under the age of 3, and they were not charged at Character Dining experiences and all-you-care-to-enjoy dining locations.

As soon as you know your vacation dates, be sure to go ahead and start making your dining reservations since many of the popular restaurants can book up several months in advance. Guests may begin booking dining reservations 180 days in advance by calling (407) WDW-DINE or (407) 939-3463, by going online or via My Disney Experience mobile app.

I hope this information has been helpful to you, Krystina. Please let us know if you have any additional questions or would like dining recommendations. We would love to assist you further in planning a magical trip for your family!

    Bon Appétit,
    Jodie
