We are planning a family trip for February 2019 to celebrate my 50th birthday. When can we start booking packages or even looking at prices for packages for February? We are very anxious to book this trip!

Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel, Sheila! I’m so glad to hEAR that you are excited to start planning your magical vacation! As soon as I choose my vacation dates for the year, I start browsing Walt Disney World Resorts and getting ready!

Did you know you can book a package or a room up to 499 days in advance? You can book a room-only reservation as long as you know your dates and which Walt Disney World Resort Hotel you'd like to stay at. You’ll end up paying for one-night’s stay (usually about $200, but prices may change). When official pricing is released for 2019 (typically in the summertime, but you can contact your friendly Travel Agent if you need a reminder of when that happens) you can call back to change your room-only reservation to a Magic Your Way Vacation Package. I typically book my own rooms, but work closely with a travel agent for my longer trips, since my personal agent has been able to save me hundreds of dollars!

I would go ahead and browse the many available Walt Disney World Resort Hotels and choose one that fits both your vacation style and your budget. Then, you’ll be ready to roll and have a magical trip for your milestone birthday. I can’t wait to help you plan; there are so many birthday surprises I want to tell you about. If you need more help, please let me know. You’ve got a friend in me! ~ Lindsey P.
