I am planning my family Disney vacation for 2017. when am I able to start booking it? I am looking to book within the august month. Thank you,

    Hi Kristina!

Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel!  I'm a planner at heart, so I LOVE the fact that you're already thinking about your 2017 Walt Disney World vacation.  You can always make a room-only reservation up to 499 days in advance.  The specific date you can call to do that is calculated from the date you plan to check out.  You can find a handy-dandy calculator to determine that at pscalculator.net/pscalc.php, but if you're looking at August 2017 it will be sometime around late March-early April 2016.  When you're ready to make that reservation, just call  (407) W-DISNEY (934-7639) and they'll get you set up.  The next year's rates won't be released quite yet, but you'll be one step farther along with making your vacation plans (and you'll have the peace of mind knowing you have exactly the Disney Resort hotel and dates you want for your stay).  Once the 2017 rates and packages are released (probably sometime around July 2016), you'll then be able to call back to modify your reservation in any way you'd like, such as adding theme park tickets, the Disney Dining Plan, Memory Maker and more.

Wishing you pixie-dusted planning, Kristina!  Please write back if we can help answer any other questions.  We'd love to hEAR from you again!
