Planning on Epcot and Animal Kingdom WouId we be better in Dolphin resort instead of port orleans riverside

    Hi Kathleen,

Thanks for visiting Disney Parks Moms Panel with your question.

It's great that you're planning to visit Disney's Animal Kingdom and Epcot. I love spending time in both of those theme parks. A key question I ask myself when choosing where to stay for a Walt Disney World vacation is whether or not I can take advantage of the benefits that Guests of Walt Disney World Resort hotels can enjoy. Three of these benefits are the ability to make FastPass+ selections at 60 days prior to check-in, the ability to use Extra Magic Hours, and the ability to add a Disney Dining Plan. Both Disney's Port Orleans Resort - Riverside and Walt Disney World Dolphin Hotel allow for 60-day FastPass+ selections and Extra Magic Hours. You can add a Disney Dining Plan to your Disney's Port Orleans Resort - Riverside reservation, though not to your Walt Disney World Dolphin Hotel reservation. If adding a dining plan is important to you, you'll want to keep that difference in mind. As for location, the Walt Disney World Dolphin Hotel gives you closer proximity to Epcot and Disney's BoardWalk and gives you the option of walking or riding a Friendship boat. For travel to Disney's Animal Kingdom from either of the Resorts you'd be using bus transportation.

Kathleen, whether you choose modern upscale waterfront hotel or tranquil riverside resort, you're sure to have lots of magic awaiting you at Walt Disney World.

    Enjoy your Disney!
