I am planning a DL trip with my twin kids and my brother (SoCal resident) is planning to buy SoCal Select Annual passes for all of us. He plans to join us over the weekend although we'll be there earlier. Does he need to accompany us to validate the passes

    Hi, Nida!

Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel, and thanks for your great question about Disneyland Resort Annual Passports.

The Southern California Select Annual Passport is valid only for Southern California residents who currently live within ZIP codes 90000-93599. Proof of residency is required for purchase, so every adult using these passes would be expected to present a valid California ID to verify their address and receive the pass. If your brother wishes to purchase a gifted pass for family residing outside the zip code area mentioned above, he would need to select another type of pass. The Gift Vouchers for passes that are not Southern California-specific can be exchanged for Annual Passports during the first day of your visit to the Disneyland Resort, even if he is not present.

I hope this information is helpful, Nida, and that you enjoy a pixie-dusted visit to The Happiest Place on Earth! Please write back with more questions as your planning continues.

    Wishing you magic,
