We are planning a disneyland vacation the first week of April for my birthday. My question is how busy will it be there? I'm curious if southern CA school will also be on spring break the first week of April. Thank you

Hi there, Kristy! Celebrating your birthday at the Disneyland Resort has got to be one of the very best ways to spend your special day!

The Disneyland Resort is a popular destination every month of the year and April is a beautiful time to visit. The gardens and trees will be blooming and the weather is usually pleasantly warm. You might encounter some spring break vacationers while you are there, but that doesn't mean you can't have an excellent time at the parks. The following are my best tips to see and do a multitude of things at the Disneyland Resort:

    • Start your day early and take advantage of Magic Morning or Extra Magic Hour if those options are available to you.
    • Prioritize which attractions and entertainment are must dos.
    • Use the Disney FASTPASS Service as much as possible. Obtain a FASTPASS first thing in the morning and pay attention to the time printed on the ticket when you can obtain your next FASTPASS.
    • Use the Disneyland app to scope out attraction wait times and FASTPASS return times. This will help you tour the parks efficiently.
    • Take your time and take it all in. Simply enjoy the ambiance and atmosphere that makes the Disneyland Resort the Happiest Place on Earth.

Finally, don't forget to pick up a complimentary birthday button at City Hall on Main Street, U.S.A. Have a marvelous birthday!
