Hi Sara,
You have come to the right place! I'm a planner too, and I think if it's something you love to do, it's
never too early to start. If you're beginning to plan years in advance, there might not be much you can actually book yet (499 days out is the earliest you may book anything, and that's a room-only reservation), but there are still things you may do to begin planning for an AMAZING vacation to the most magical place on earth!
I'd encourage you to watch Disney movies, listen to Disney music, and read Disney books so that your daughter can be familiar with the Characters and stories when she visits. Also, there are some
videos you may watch online to start learning all about a Walt Disney World Resort vacation. Feel free to peruse the
Walt Disney World Resort website and beginning dreaming about which Resort hotel you might like to stay at and what attractions, shows, and entertainment options you'll enjoy at each of the four theme parks. I'd even encourage you to read through other people's questions and the answers given at the Disney Parks Moms Panel. If you click the blue box directly under "Planning Your Disney Vacation?" that says Walt Disney World, it will filter the questions for you, and you'll learn a TON about FastPass+, ticket options, Resort hotels, what's new around the theme parks, tips for traveling with kids, and much, much more. The more familiar you are with everything, the smoother your vacation will go. Plus, when your vacation time arrives and you hear the Cast Members at your Disney Resort hotel say, "Welcome home," you'll really
feel at home.
Thanks so much for bringing us your question, Sara, and have a wonderful time planning. If you have other questions along the way, definitely feel free to ask us! You are going to have the most
magical vacation!
Missy
