Planning our 1st Disney trip to Disney World in Dec. I wanted to know what and where is the best to start. There'll be 4 adults and a 1 and 4 yr old, so I want to stay somewhere age appropriate for the kids but fun for the adult. Please help

    Hi Thanh,

Your family will absolutely fall in love with the magic of Disney! There is no time like the present to start planning that unforgettable first visit.

Depending on your specific dates for this December, room availability may be in short supply. Start now by building a Magic Your Way Vacation Package. Do select a Disney Resort Hotel, based on your vacation budget. Considering your party size and needs, I'm suggesting each of the following in the various Disney Resort hotel categories:

    1. Disney Value Resort hotel: Disney's Art of Animation Resort
    2. Disney Moderate Resort hotel: Disney's Port Orleans Resort - Riverside
    3. Disney Deluxe Resort hotel: Disney's Contemporary Resort
    4. Disney Deluxe Villas: The Villas at Disney's Wilderness Lodge

Don't forget to check any Special Offers that may be applicable too. Once lodging has been decided, you may select multi-day tickets for the number of days you'll be visiting the parks. For a first visit I recommend adding Base Tickets, which allow admission to exactly one Disney theme park per day. Afterward, start planning the touring days through My Disney Experience. Make FastPass+ selections for attractions, book dining reservations and arrange for entertainment options. Do add the Disney Memory Maker option to your package too. It's such a great value!

As you continue to plan that memorable first visit, please write back with any other questions you may have for us here at the Disney Parks Moms Panel.

Wishing you an unforgettable first visit to the Walt Disney World Resort!
