We are planning a Disney trip in December. On 12/28 my daughter turns sweet 16. I wanted to do something very special for her but unique. She is older now, so I want to load up on her day. Any ideas?

    Dear Stephen,

Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel! What a wonderful way to celebrate such a special day for your daughter. At the Walt Disney World Resort, her carriage awaits!

If you are staying at a Walt Disney World Resort hotel, be sure to call 407-939-5277 and request that a cast member add a note about your daughter's birthday to the reservation. Then be sure you make a dining reservation for a special restaurant. I think she might enjoy 'Ohana. If you make a dinner reservation just before the time of the Happily Ever After fireworks show, you could potentially see the fireworks show during dinner. On our last visit, we arrived at our 'Ohana reservation about 25 minutes early and requested a window table to celebrate my husband's birthday. The view was perfect and the food delicious!

Next, check out the Enchanting Extras. With one of the unique access tours, you can create a personalized, magical park experience for her. Or, try Afternoon Tea in the Garden Tea Room. If she has an adventurous spirit, try one of the Nature Experiences. On our last visit, we did the Caring for Giants Tour, but I would recommend a different tour given her age. One of the Epcot Seas Adventures Tour would certainly create incredible memories.

Stephen, as you contemplate how to celebrate, consider ordering from Disney Floral & Gifts or having one of the Cakes at Walt Disney World resort delivered during her birthday dinner. Remember to capture the memories at Disney's Photo Pass® Service Studio or with Memory Maker!

Magic, memories and Minnie Mouse hugs,
