We are planning our Disney cruise to celebrate our daughter's high school graduation. As home schoolers we were considering having the actual ceremony while we were on-board. Is this allowable? How could Disney help us plan an extraordinary event?

    Hi Lisa!

Congratulations on your daughter's high school graduation!  There is no place better to celebrate than on a Disney Cruise!  Right now, Disney Cruise Line only has packages available for Weddings and Vow Renewals.  But, there are many ways to make this a memorable occasion for your daughter.  On the Gifts & Amenities page, there is a Congratulations Memory Box that you can order to commemorate the event.  You will also find info about ordering a Celebration Cake that can be delivered to either your stateroom or dining table. If you do decide to order the cake, make sure you order your cake seven days prior to sailing.  Also, let your waiter know so he or she can recognize it at dinner.  You might even want to have a graduation cap as your centerpiece at dinner each night!

Another fun way to make this event extra special for your daughter is to decorate your stateroom door with a magnetic graduation banner or "Class of 2012" sign.  You can also decorate inside your stateroom as well. My favorite keepsake from my cruises has been a photo mat signed by the characters.  You could do the same or include a graduation hat to be signed by the characters or even the Captain.  When you arrive onboard, just take your items in a plastic bag labeled with your stateroom number to Guest Services, and don't forget the markers!  They will return the items by the last night of your voyage.

I hope this helps you make your daughter's graduation magical!  Please let me know if you have any further questions.

    Bon Voyage!
